Top Goalscorer: 5 goalscorers (1 goal each) MOM: Bryce Goldsworthy (MC He’s our Marquee)

What an opening fixture we have here tonight! The 2 heavyweights of the division clashed in what was expected to be a fiery encounter but proved rather timid. The Marquee himself made an appearance for the first game of the season and contributed with a goal to help his side. Derek Caisley, Mike Folland and Troy Mumford also joined Crowell slotting a goal each to bring the boys in blue home. Ian McAndrew scored the lone goal for the boys from Gosford who will be looking to bounce back next week and push their opponents all the way to the end of the season. Special mention to Bryce Goldsworthy for a ‘Man of the Match’ performance in goals tonight for the winning team. Was it not for the ‘Great Wall’, the result could have gone the other way.

Wednesday Night Men’s Division 1 5’s
Chump FC 10 V 9 BenchWarmers
Top Goalscorer: Aaron Pomeroy (BenchWarmers, 4 goals) MOM: Bryce (BenchWarmers)

Two newbies to the hierarchy of Wednesday 5-a-side came together tonight and what a game it proved to be. Aaron Pomeroy was on fantastic form once again for ‘The BenchWarmers’, scoring 4 goals tonight. But even with those 4 goals, it wasn’t enough to defeat ‘Chump FC’ who will look to surprise a few teams this year. Sam, Liam, Ben and Mitchell were all firing tonight with a couple of goals apiece and this proved to be vital to clinch the 3 points today. Bryce of ‘The BenchWarmers’ played fantastically tonight and definitely earned the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
